Doing things a bit differently.
I found my old cadaver renderings from college and have decided to paint them in Clip Studio. I believe most medical illustrators use Photoshop to draw, as do I. However, I have taken an intersest into Clip Studio because of it’s more convenient tools to make drawing and painting a smoother process. For example, the famous lasso-fill tool is one of the features I’m excited for. It allows artists to select an area and instantly fill that space with color. In photoshop, that would take two extra steps, while slowing down your process. You could achieve the same tool in photoshop however that would require you to change a few scripts in it’s program.
This is a sketch from the cadaver lab at RIT, showing the posterior forearm muscles.
First the Lineart
Here, I am starting to color the illustration with flat colors.
